Anna Hughes, Project Administrator who helped to organise the event said: “Location for our Christmas Party is important both in terms of easy access and free/overnight parking. We were also looking for the main event to be held in one room so everyone stayed together and we needed an interesting menu with choices for each course, as well as an efficient and flexible team who could keep things running smoothly on the night.
“Murray Edwards met all these challenges with a central Cambridge location, a venue with flexible parking and good location maps. The Dome was a perfect space for keeping the party together and really created the ‘wow’ factor with great acoustics.

“The Fountain Walkway was a pleasant location for the pre-dinner drinks and really appealing at night when the water features were lit. The Dome looked beautiful and was definitely an unexpected surprise for the guests when they walked in to see the tables dressed beautifully and the large Christmas tree which gave the room a really festive atmosphere.
“We had good communication with the events team comprising Katie, Tania, Freya, Benjamin and Teri. They were professional and accommodating with the extras we asked for such as a photobooth, band/DJ, decorations and projections into the Dome. Teri the Front of House Manager was fantastic on the night itself.
“The meal was enjoyed by all and I appreciated being able to add in extra choices to the menu. The service was also smooth for such a large group.
“The event was a huge success – everyone loved it! The fact everything took place in one room meant everyone stayed together and the party didn’t become disjointed. The photo booth we hired was also a big hit!
“Murray Edwards is different from other venues – the Dome has a wonderful contemporary feel and the staff are flexible to work with and really strive to make your evening memorable. I would definitely consider booking another event in the future.”

Every year, Team organises an annual Christmas dinner/dance for employees and their partners. In 2016 it chose Murray Edwards College for the first time.
