A Cambridge College is enhancing the visitor experience by giving everyone a free specially-produced Pocket Guide on arrival.
Murray Edwards College has produced an A6 folded guide which is just the right size to tuck into a pocket and contains information about the College, Art Collection and Gardens, together with a plan of the grounds so they can locate their bedroom and communal spaces easily.
There are also details on check-in and check-out times, meal-times and a Street Map of Central Cambridge to help guests explore the city, together with punting and taxi information
Freya Vaughan, Marketing and Events Officer said: “We have always had good signage and guest information here but we wanted to create an interesting, user-friendly guide for guests staying overnight, with details about visiting Murray Edwards College, informed by Client Feedback.
“With our customers firmly at the heart of the process, each guest now receives a Pocket Guide upon check-in at the Porters’ Lodge that is theirs to keep. We have incorporated a City Centre map, courtesy of Cambridge & Beyond, which highlights local points of interest, so they can immediately get out and make the most of the Cambridge Experience during their stay.”
Murray Edwards College, which is located in ten acres of peaceful grounds, has recently retained its Three Star Campus Rating from Visit England, following an in-depth audit. High scores were achieved for its attractive gardens, excellent transport links and parking, high standards of hygiene and first-class bedroom security with electronic lock systems. The extensive modern Art Collection on display throughout the College was also commended.
The College offers flexible meeting space for a wide range of conferences and events. With free car parking on site, it has 162 modern en suite bedrooms during the vacations, in addition to 12 in the Kaetsu Conferece Centre available year-round.
