It was wonderful to be able to bring people together after so long and everyone really enjoyed the day. We have had lots of compliments about the College, the facilities and the catering – which were all just perfect – and, of course, the staff. All of us who attended the lunch on Wednesday would like to thank you very much for a really enjoyable occasion to mark the fiftieth anniversary of our coming up to read English at Trinity and some significant supervisions at New Hall, which made the lunch at Murray Edwards particularly appropriate. All the arrangements we had made from the outset with Louise worked very well, and of course the food and the rooms were lovely. People seem keen to do the same again next year perhaps!

A huge thank you to all involved: the food was delicious, the service friendly and impeccably timed, and the venue itself perfectly set out as we had agreed in advance. Even the last minute changes we requested were carried out efficiently and with a smile!
It was wonderful to be able to show the College off in this way, and many of the delegates commented on how professional everything was, from the food to the gardens!

I really liked the atmosphere and the look of the venue. It felt ideal for the type of event. The facilities were good and it was overall very comfortable. It was just the right size for the number of people in attendance. I liked that it was all in one room and the tables didn’t have to be moved to make way for the dancing.

Murray Edwards College is a welcoming and contemporary setting – in many ways perfect for introducing the social and developmental characteristics of ‘pre-university’ living. It means that we can interact, engage and participate in activities that in other settings may be more restrictive. This gives us the flexibility to allow our students to be both youthful in their actions while also recognising the need to be adult in their surroundings.
Over the years the team at Murray Edwards has played a major part in helping us to run our program successfully and enabled us to give thousands of high school students the skills they will need for the next stage in their lives.

“The charity was looking for a Cambridge venue which could offer a suitable space for a celebration, preferably with the option of a garden in case the weather was fine. Parking was also a priority as many guests traveled from all over the region to attend. We also needed a high standard of catering as the event was a ‘thank you’ to loyal supporters, funded entirely by sponsors.
“Murray Edwards College has a very peaceful atmosphere despite being so close to the city and there were some wonderful comments from guests who said that they had felt very well looked after on the day.”
